A small society
for software craft.
OXSL is a society in Oxford for people who care about software as a craft. We meet for talks, study sessions, and occasional dinners. We try to keep it small enough that everyone in the room knows everyone else by the second meeting.
What we do
- Monthly talks — usually one of us walking through something we built
- Study sessions — small reading groups around a paper or chapter
- Occasional dinners — Oxford has good pubs, and we use them
- A small private Slack for ongoing conversation
Who it's for
Engineers, designers, and academics in Oxford who care about how software gets made. No level requirement, but the conversations assume you ship things and like reading code.
